Overview
This specially designed 16-night, 17-day itinerary offers a relaxed and scenic approach to the Everest Base Camp trek, catering to trekkers aged 55 and above. Experience the majestic beauty of the Himalayas at a leisurely pace, incorporating additional rest days and shorter daily hikes for a more enjoyable adventure.
Skill Level: Easy to Moderate. This itinerary features shorter daily hikes with plenty of rest days for acclimatization. A basic level of fitness is recommended, but previous trekking experience is not mandatory.
Group Size: This itinerary can be tailored for private treks or small group treks with experienced guides who are sensitive to the needs of mature travelers.
Accommodation: Throughout the trek, you’ll be staying in comfortable teahouses with clean rooms and basic amenities. Many teahouses offer single rooms for an additional cost, allowing for more privacy and relaxation.
Transportation: Domestic flights from Kathmandu to Lukla (round trip) are included.
Acclimatization: This itinerary incorporates several rest days specifically for acclimatization. The pace is slower, allowing your body to adjust gradually to the increasing altitude. Optional short hikes are also included to maintain a healthy routine.
