Amadablam Basecamp Trek – 10 Days

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, after clearing customs and immigration at the airport, one of our representatives will meet you and assist with the transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure.

Morning flight to Lukla, the starting point of your expedition. Lukla is a renowned high-altitude airstrip, originally built by Sir Edmund Hillary's Himalayan Trust. Enjoy views of Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, and Makalu if visibility allows.meet the Sherpa crew and begin your trek. A five-hour trek with a gentle climb along the left bank of the Dudh Kosi, passing through streams, forests, and villages, will bring you to the charming valley of Monjo.

After breakfast, Leave the villages of Chumao and Monjo behind as you enter Sagarmatha National Park at Jorsale. A short walk along the riverbed of the V-shaped valley brings you to a fork in the river: to the right is the Dudh Kosi, and to the left is Bhote Kosi, which leads to the renowned peak of Nampa.

After a brief distance along the Bhote Kosi, begin your steep ascent to Namche. The trail zigzags, and midway through your trek to Namche Bazaar, a gap in the trees reveals your first view of Everest (29,027 ft. / 8,848 m). If the weather is clear, you'll see the summit of the southwest face behind the long Lhotse-Nuptse Ridge.

We acclimatize at Namche Bazaar to adjust to the thinning air. Namche Bazaar offers a variety of facilities, ranging from hotels and restaurants to souvenir and gift shops, providing almost everything available in city areas.

Though it is an acclimatization day, you will stay active. You can take an optional but recommended hike to Khumjungvia hotel Everest view and visit the Sagarmatha National Park Visitor Center. Additionally, you can visit the Hillary School and old monasteries on your way to Khumjung.To end the day on a pleasant note, enjoy bakery products from the famous bakeries in Namche

After breakfast, we leave Namche and head towards Phortse. The first part of our trek takes us through agricultural land and pine tress trees for about one and half hour to Kenzoma. We then begin a 2.5-hour ascent to Mong La, where we take a relaxing lunch break and enjoy views of Tawache Peak, Thamserku, Kangtega, Ama Dablam, Kongde Peak, and Kusum Kangaru.After our break, we descend for about an hour to Phortse Tanga and trek uphill through a forest until we reach Phortse village (3,950 m / 12,960ft), where we will stay for the night.

We start with a short trek of about 3 to 3.5 hours, heading up the valley to Pangboche. The trail offers a gradual incline around the valley, providing breathtaking views as we walk.

After lunch, we'll visit the Old Pangboche Monastery, You might also receive a blessing from the high Lama and find peace in the quieter upper Pangboche.Rest of the afternoon is in your own.

After breakfast, we embark on what is considered one of the best days of the trek. We begin by crossing the Imja Khol river, followed by a steep ascent towards Ama Dablam Base Camp. This trail is less traveled, as it diverges from the main route to Everest Base Camp.

We'll have ample time to savor our packed lunch and hot drinks while taking in the breathtaking views. Afterward, we'll head back to Pangboche for the night.

Retracing our steps, we'll descend back towards Namche Bazaar. Enjoy the changing perspectives of the mountains and celebrate reaching a high altitude base camp. Relax and unwind in your teahouse in Namche Bazaar.

Today, we depart Namche Bazaar at 7am for our trek back to Lukla. We'll begin with a one-hour downhillhike to the famous high bridge. Staying high above the river, we'll cross several suspension bridges. We'll10 retrace our steps through Jorsalle, Monjo, and back to Phakding, which should take around 4-5 hours. The return journey offers a different perspective of the Khumbu valley.

From Phakding, it will take about 3 hours to hike back to Lukla. We'll stay overnight in Lukla and preparefor the early morning flight back to Kathmandu. Enjoy the tipping ceremony and the celebratory party tomark the end of our trekking adventure!

Rise early for breakfast before your flight back to Kathmandu. Once in Kathmandu, you have variousoptions to make the most of your day: go sightseeing, unwind at the spa, or catch up on some much-needed sleep.

In the evening, we will enjoy our final meal together to celebrate our achievements.
